HTTS Tourney, League, Challenge Ladder, etc.
Hey, I will throw this at you guys here in Houston and see what you think. Would anyone be interested in any form of organized competition associated with this website to let some of you guys basically put your money where your mouth is? Especially since there will not be much other organized tennis between here and the Spring. Just a thought. I don't know how committed I am to the idea anyway cause it would require me to come out from behind my veil of secrecy. If we did anything I can tell you this, no entries submitted in the name of Anonymous would be accepted. Stew it over, let me know what you think. Honestly, I really just needed something to talk about to justify a new discussion stream and this is all I could come up with.

Reader, a good player does not need to be talking trash. who cares that you are good in tennis. maybe that's what you do all day. most people play once or twice a week. if you're that great, why won't you play open?

Let's setup a system that will allow tennis players to challenge each other specifically by name. The results are posted for everyone to see. This will settle all the trash talk. Results speak for it self.
I will take on any top 4.0 to 4.5 players.

Reader is the dude with the chrome booger hanging from his nose. He's one of them trash talkers, but actually has a game. Like the last poster said "biggest red-neck, trailer-park, tobacco chewing, wannabe bad-boy".

Did I read that right? "Reader beats Dibua 6-3 6-1" There's no way!I've seen them both play and Dibua looks like a much better athlete and has a much better serve.AND it was in the masters?It has to be a misprint!!
You guys should be ashamed of yourself for insulting LOTS.Hes been my coach for a while now and I know for a fact that he does NOT even read this anymore.The only reason I read it,is to see what loser is posing as LOTS next.Also I know that he never practices,but does feed tennis balls all day.Hes very out of shape but has the most talent as a player and as a teacher,we've both ever seen.So keep ragging on Thomas reader.It just seems that if you met him,you would feel awful about the things you've said about him,and you should. Probably about as bad as you would feel after playing a match against him. I would be really interested to see what percentage of the people talking crap,are actually better then Reader,my guess is about 1%.

People on here just write crap all the time. Nothing new. JourneyMan made this new thread regarding a challenge system, but how many people actually responded to the blogs topic?
We should use this tool to come together and make tennis popular once again in the Houston area. If you haven't noticed the public facilities are crap in Houston. Hell you can't even play out at Memorial Park at night without being blinded by the practice golf lights.
But alas seems most everyone here just insults another players and such.

What's a Tri level tourney?
A team tennis tourney with a 3.5, 4.0 & 4.5 team. Played at Lost Forest. Winners advance to Sectionals in Kingwood.
Tri Level is more of a league than a tournament.

I am a former tour player and I am going to play 4.0 league this year. Tim Green told me i am not good enough to play 4.5 since I wasn't top 100 ATP tour, only top 150.
Hmmmmm....Top 150 you say. Well if you happen to be Michael Russell, I am willing to let you play line 2 on my summer league team.

What is the difference between this tourney and any other tourney?
In reference to the prior post about Trautman's dad and LOTS. I have seen both people,and Ray Charles could tell you by the looks of the two,Reader would fu--in bury this guy!I mean c'mon,one's a gay 65 year old Mr.Rogers,and then you have LOTS.a CRAZY looking dude with a freakin hoop in his nose.Obviously you don't want to f--k with this man.Looks like a lunatic if you ask me.
