Let the games begin....
You can go ahead and attack me now but due to 80% poll response in favor of anonymous posting, I have reinstated it. We have gone too long without some fool recklessly insulting Kallus, Schmucker, Foad, Sarosh, LOTS, etc. I will try to be more diligent with regard to policing the posts. Let's see if we can make this work cause this blog basically died a couple months back when we tried to allow only registered users. No one registered cause apparently no one has anything to say unless they can say it anonymously. Feel free to click on some ads while you are between anonymous rants. Oh yeah, and good luck at Copperfield to those participating. Throw down a prediction or two if you feel so inclined. My picks for 4.5, either Wayne Morgan or Dave McMullan.

Oops. Forgot to actually click the setting to allow anonymous. Hopefully, someone out there had something they felt like posting over the past few days. Congrats to Wayne Morgan for winning Copperfield 4.5 and to Tim Green for surviving the grueling 5.0 draw. At least it made, so I will just shutup.

To the jealous, insecure, cockroach (Saroach) ... regarding comment about arya ... i was at the 5.0 sectionals and watched the match between arya and manalo. arya had like 20 winners on his forehand side alone and was 3 points from winning the match in the 3rd set tie-breaker. he should have won that but is not match tough yet. manalo has great touch and took out Reader next round.
my guess is manalo would rip you a new one cockroach if you ever played him. kudos to arya for battling it out there.
This trash talk beats no talk but I am surprised how the first 5 anonymous comments are basically the exact same as the last 5 anonymous comments before I put the non-anonymous ban in place.

What is wrong with wanting there to actually be some traffic to the blog? That's the point, isn't it? While registration was required, this blog was averaging less than 40 visits per day compared to 250+ prior to the ban. Sectionals came and went with no discussion whatsoever. That was final straw for me.

Just logged on and I can't even follow the conversation anymore because of all of the deleted content.this thing sucks more than ever now. I don't think that was Journeyman. But after reading this for the past year,nothing would suprise me. Either let it go back to the ORIGINAL format. Or make people register. Saroach, yes, arya is a friend. Do you have any of those? I also saw his matches few years ago when he was a regular on the Men's Open and getting deep into the majors. He was going toe to toe with the best of them.

That comment was not from me. I have met Foad, I do not know the other guy. I definitely have nothing against Foad. Why can't you guys make this easy? Arya Majed is the perfect example of a tennis player who plays above his level of play but will continue to drift downwards to the 4.0 level eventually when reality hits that he can never get better because he inherently does not have the on-court intelligence (nor off-court) to raise the level of his game. No matter how much he practices or tries to associate with players better than him. Its tragic.
Let 'em play what he wants.

I would like to see Foad play Sarosh. With a line judge if necessary. I personally think it would be a blowout in Sarosh's favor.
No way man, Sarosh is not tournament tough. I personally think it would be 6-4, 6-3 in Foad's favor, unless Sarosh hooks him, which is a possibility.
its amazing that Arya Majed posts here insulting Sarosh every time some comment arises about his own crappy game. Could it be that people other than Sarosh actually also think that Arya sucks? Man, so much hate in this blog for Arya. Give it a rest and let him play what he wants to play.
From an outsider looking in, and not knowing anyone on this board, (I'm from Austin), I am really pissed at this dude (Sarosh??) that is telling other dudes what division to play and how bad they are.
Now, I come equipped with a minor in psychology, which is very useful for tennis. So, I will give you the profile for this guy, and will appreciate if anyone who knows him can confirm it:
1. Definitely not born in the USA; doesnt know this is a free country with free will where people can do what they want within the law.
2. Overcome with jealousy: don't know whether he is jealous of this other guys looks, money, height, girlfriend, job, ... but he is definitely jealous of something about this guy.
3. Insecure: Only feels good about himself and his tennis by cutting someone else down.
4. Napolean complex: in another words, SHORT! (also, most likely lacks proper equipment downstairs).
5. Plays in those lower divisions that he wants the other dudes to succumb to.
6. Unhappy: bad job/marriage, ... can't be sure about the root-cause of his unhappiness
7. Cheater: most probably cheats, lies, back stabs, ... all the above. Probably no one trusts him any more .
8. No friends: No one enjoys playing tennis with him because of his attitude.
9. Insecure: hides his insecurities and weaknesses with extreme arrogance.
OK, got to get back to work. Someone, please confirm whether I am on??

In defence of Arya: first, I know for a fact he does not post on this trash board. second, he was top 10 in Open for 3 straight years: '05-'07 with multiple wins over name players including Dibua and Womack; also, made it to semis of Open Majors and multiple quarters in Open Majors.
These are the facts! Look it up for yourselves. he never played college tennis, taught himself the game, and did it by shear will and mental toughness. Started playing in his late teens!

I had the misfortune to play against him. in the first 5 minutes, he asked me who else do i play against. i named some guys. he then systematically cut each one of them down to shreds, told me how he can "kill" them and that i should be playing with better players. then he told me not to tell the score of our match to anyone; i didnt; he just POSTED it later. this is the backstabber bitch you are referring to.

arya hasn't passed his second opponent in the main draw all year and you talk about what he's done in the pass... give me a break!
why enter a tournament knowing that you will probably win only one match.
arya should have entered the 4.5, but at least make it to the quarters if he's lucky. there's probably 10 guys in the 4.5 draw that he might be able to beat and those guys are 4.0 players.

What surprises me is that someone is even cutting down Herb Morton who is a really nice guy. Seems like there are some people on here that are way way insecure. By the way I looked up the league record for the Kallus, Schmucker, Majed, Morton, Goldberg team and they have not lost and tied for first. So drifting downwards to 4.0 does not even make since.

I have not been able to police the posts the way I intended because I have been out of town and overseas and didn't really even think about this blog while I was gone. I am so sorry that you seeme to need to be asses to one another, but that is your choice. Only thing I will point out after reading through this stream is that several of the players attacked as being "4.0s" pathetically trying to play up above their level are all rated 4.5by USTA so 4.0 is not an option for them anyway. How can you attack guys for playing the level USTA has them rated at? Should they just not play at all?

The guy from Austin who analyzed whomever is making the negative posts was dead on. Some additional comments:
- There are some cultures where being perceived as the best is the most important thing, oftentimes this is achieved by cutting down others. They also continually compare themselves to others.
-This person would most likely rather default a match than take a probable loss.
-this person has probably had very little success as a player at the levels of the players whom he is derisive about.
All the other comments are dead on.
It is funny how this person has focused on certain 4.5 players. Hopefully it is not Sarosh Ahmed as he himself has had little success above the 4.0 level.
Pete Taylor is slightly worse than Omon and Odion, borderline 4.5/5.0. I would have to agree that Arya would probably not win the 4.0 division.
While Arya probably would not win 4.5 at Fall Fest, he would almost certainly win 4.0.
Furthermore, with the right draw he certainly could have done damage in the 4.5 draw.
Furthermore, Majed certainly does have a win over one of the Dibua's in singles.
I bet that none of the posters talking crap about Arya can say that.

This blog has become a forum for whiners, and NOT about tournament tennis. I see very little discussion about tennis and a whole lot of personal attacks. Which cannot be attributed to Journeyman.
I don't know the best way to get back on track with discussing and sharing our interest in tennis, but someone should have some good ideas.

Summation of Fall Festival: Kallus sucks Foad Sucks
arya pushes himself and is a great guy. He is very fair and certainly is no dummy. He taught himself how to play and has competed at very high levels. He also has a tough job and does not have 24 hours to train. Everyone need to stop attacking guys for not winning all of the time. Its a fun sport and great exercise. If individuals have a strong competitive spirit and want to test themselves, they are not hurting anyone and are probably better off for testing themselves.
he should test himself at 4.0. then 4.5. more then half of the 4.5 draw at fall fest could beat him. he should stop living the pass and start facing reality. at least sarosh signs up for his level, but chickens out like a little girl. i agree with topspin assasin, start a sarosh vs arya thread.

Arya Majed is the biggest joke. He thinks he gets kudos for teaching himself. Listen you moron, EVERYONE who is good must teach themselves, regardless if you have a coach. You can learn from a coach, you can learn from watching it on tv, you can learn from hitting on a wall, or just by thinking about it. That is the on-court intelligence YOU LACK. That is why you will lose most days and probably would NOT have a winning record in 4.0's or 4.5's because once a match gets close, guess what, you will probably LOSE. Get used to it.
