Conroe in the Bag.
Before I get to the Fort Worth results, I know everyone is eager to hear of the all important Conroe tournament. With no Dibua in the draw, recently self-demoted from 5.0 Jeff Matlock was able to take the coveted Conroe crown with a 3rd set super-tiebreak victory over Dan Morales. Never looked at the draws prior to the tourney, but Matlock would have been the clear favorite. There are not many guys playing 4.5 tourneys that would be Matlock. Very solid player and a nice guy too. In 4.0, everyone's favorite tabletop slice forehand lefty, Kris Knutson took it home without much resistance. My condolences to all that had to play him.

Not too many guys that play 4.5 tournaments can beat Jeff Matlock? Are you serious? I thought you were up-to-date on tournament players cause I know a lot of guys that can beat Matlock.
Besides no one plays the Conroe tournament anymore.
Not talking about top 4.5 guys liker Schmucker, Sanchez, Reader, etc. Talking about your local run of the mill 4.5's that typically play the smaller Houston area events. The guys that normally sign for the Conroes, Galvestons, Bay Areas, etc. are not going to normally beat a player like Matlock. Hope that clears that up for you, as it sounds like you nearly crapped your pants at my statement.
Yeah didn't that guy just get humiliated by a Dibua a few weeks ago. He can't be that strong.
Omon Dibua actually played Open Level in Conroe and both his matches. Credit to him though for trying to improve his game by playing up.
