I can't take another Arya post. My email box is full of them, with a new one hitting every 10 seconds it seems. Let's get back to other tournament happenings post Fall Fest 1st round. How about some sectionals wrap-up.
Right off the bat, Men's 4.5 singles was a joke, with some of the best players never signing up (Aflonso), several others pulling out of the rescheduled event, and yet others losing early and unexpectedly (Alejandro, Casas). Congrats to Zhieng on winning. Unfortunately, when it sorts out there will be some guys at Master's Cup who don't deserve it. But I am sure that will always be the case.
At least 5.0 played out to form with Smith beating Garg in semis and taking down Reader yet again in the finals. I would say congrats but you are not a 5.0 so yeah you won, but anything less than that would have been a joke if you ask me. Congrats Reader, aka Lord of the Strings, aka #8 (my opinion), you have had a great year this year. It must be karma that after playing down and beating up all the 4.5s last year, you would get it dealt to you repeatedly this year by a guy who is well above the 5.0 level. You are still one of the most fun guys in Texas Tennis.
I think Schmucker broke his personal record for pulling out of tournaments this year. A couple hundred dollars well spent.
Lost Forest this weekend. Not a big event but keep an eye on the continued ascent of newly returned German Madman Jochen Moser. He could be the guy to take it all in 4.5 next year. You heard it here first.

Anyone have an idea of which Houston Players will be going to Master's in Austin next month. I know everyone only worries about 4.5 and 5.0 as everyone else is worthless. Only care about singles and doubles.

let's face it. eventhough arya bashed the anons in his early posting, he had the balls to admit he went overboard. don't know the guy or seen him play. but hey, there are many guys who play open or 5.0 when they don't have a chance. there's no shame in playing 4.5 or 5.0. let's face it, people will respect you more if you played 4.5 or 5.0 and win, rather then open and lose early. arya, use the bashers as the fuel to your flame in this week's tourney. welcome back moser, the tennis community misses you!
he had the balls to apologize because he had the balls to say incredibly stupid things in the first place. it would have taken more balls to NOT apologize after calling people "uneducated permanantely tennis-handicapped idiots" in a public forum. he's lucky people who are "uneducated idiots" like myself dont care too much but there are others who might not let that kind of talk go by. he should do community service for wheelchair tennis or pick up trash on the streets to make up for it. not to intelligent move i'd say.

This is the real JR Pogue. I've been out of tennis for 2 years now and I was told that losers were using my name post crap about other folks. Only losers post under an alias. It's probably players that are still feeling the effects of the beating I put on them. They can't get the image of me hitting a drop shot winner off a return of serve.
