Fall Fest

Sorry for scarcity of postings over recent weeks. There was not much going on and I have been out of town for a good bulk of the time anyway. If I get chance I will make my usual useless predictions. If not, I leave it to you guys to let it fly as I know you are more than capable.

Now I wish I had made some comments. Wow, the 4.5 draw has a ton of interesting 1st match pairings. Knuston-Bui, Benzon-Martinez, Schmucker-Sims, Moser-Nero. Well, actually that last one is not all that intersting unless Moser comes back to the U.S. in domination mode in which case he will probably drill Nero with an overhead and plead innocent to voluntary manslaughter charges.

open draw comments?

My prediction for men's open:
bryan wooten all-the-way baby

My predictions:

Open- Gary Sweetnam (I just like his name)

5.0- Miguel A. Morales (why not)

4.5- Mathew Schlensker (can you say sleeper)

4.0- If Ben Ho can get past his first round against Will Morris (the only one to beat Tuyen Nguyen) look for him to take it.

If your predictions are based on seeds save it! Seeds are nothing but the players who played the most tournaments and in no way represent the best players.

I totally agree...

Knutson is not a contender! period! stop promoting this guy like he's a tennis god. has he ever won a 4.5 tourney?

Anonymous said...

I agree with you totally again...

ben who?

Anonymous said...

It's not Ben "Who", it's Ben "Ho". Get it...

According to #8 aka lord of the strings:
As far as Austin, Beaumont, and Houston Fall Festival? Who gives a flying fuck? Let's talk about some real shit. Lest talk about Sectionals.

What ever happened to Derrick, is he still playing? He was one big 5.0 killing machine! I sure miss him.

Everyone loved to play that little cockroach Derrick because they were guaranteed to advance to the next round in the tournament.

Anonymous said...

BS and you know it. That dude was is a running machine. I've personally seen him completly destroy several 5.0 to open players. I've been thinking lately that Lord of the Strings is correct, we need to do everything possible to build the game. And that means bringing back some known tallent.

Ha, the only problem is getting him and Pogue seperated long enough to get him to play a game.

Lotion?

Tim, are you kissing up to the little cockroach for a job like Pogue? This is just blatant ass kissing. Stop it right this minute.

Hey,I'm one of "Lord of the Strings students, and know for a fact that he doesn't even read this anymore. So stop the insults and step on the court with the guy.Or at least stop posting under anonymous.Didn't you guys vote on that subject?Journeyman,I've read your blog for the past nine months and have seen the content get very boring. At least LOTS brought color and insight to a sport that needs someone like him on the inside giving their input.Heck, look at how many hits this thing got once LOTS started chiming in!By the way LOTS means Lord of the Strings to you more "challenged"than others.By the way,I'm 17 years old and play at Reagan High, and thanks to this "pothead" I'm in superchamps and pursuing a schoalarship to Texas A&M. Keep talking bad about him,but until you meet him or beat him,you have no validity at all you'll continue to be just "anonymous" in life as well.

Anonymous said...

Don't be so sure.

Anonymous said...

Journeyman I say it again, it sucks to be injured and playing tennis tournaments.

Anonymous said...

Lets get a sectionals blog going. Can we, Can we...please...

Anonymous said...

Hey, did anyone see that Schmucker dude tank his third round match??? He got destroyed!!!!
Schmucker will have to go back to Austin and lick his wounds.

Anonymous said...

I was told that the reason Schmucker lost was because he still had lotion on his hand, causing his racket to slip. But the way moron he lives in Houston, not Austin.

Anonymous said...

Shut up Goldberg! You know I alway wipe the lotion off my hand.

Schmucker, just heard the good news! --congrats on your upcoming marriage to Phong.

Anonymous said...

Pogue, are you gone play tennis again? Derrick, same question to you?

Anonymous said...

there were many seeded players that got spanked over the weekend.

Anonymous said...

does anyone know the real reason why Red backed out of his singles match. was he scared that he'll lose to martinez?

Anonymous said...

JR Pouge, if that's who you really are; you are one ill, egotistical, sick puppy. I like that...

Anonymous said...

whos gonna win sectionals??

Anonymous said...

Yea can we get some predictions for 4.5 , 4.0 and 3.5?

Anonymous said...

What about 5.0 or Open?

Anonymous said...

Picks for Sectionals:

MO - Adrian Valdez
M5.0 - LOTS aka #8 aka Thomas Reader
M4.5 - Alejandro Sanchez
M4.0 - Ismael Dutchover
M3.5 - Carlos Campos

Nuff said...

Anonymous said...

Not that very many people on this thread will care, but there is no way that Carlos Campos, the hacker from hell, will win sectionals in 3.5. I would expect to see Scott Alperd or Pedro Ruiz come out on top.

Anonymous said...

Yea can the journeyman start a new thread for sectionals.

"whoever gives a flying fuck about fall fest?"

sounds like a sore loser who is trying to keep his pride by looking forward to sectionals. nice try. the hurt from losing badly will remain with you and eat away at your inexperienced spirit. good luck though. you'll need it.

Anonymous said...

Hey Dick Head, I made it to the semis of fall fest so there ain't no sore loser among us.
