With only Sectionals and Master's Cup left to go, I thought I would provide a rundown of winners and finalists at the 5.0, 4.5, and 4.0 levels, starting with the 5.0's.
Abilene - Winner: Tim Green Runner Up: Jason Gound
SAPTA - Winner: Thomas Reader Runner Up: Reggie Black
Gallery - Winner: Brian Smith Runner Up: Thomas Reader
Corpus - Winner: Tim Green Runner Up: Joe Schornick
Waco - Winner: Thomas Reader Runner Up: Jason Gound
Tyler - Winner: Tim Green Runner Up: Jason Gound
Alamo - Winner: Brian Smith Runner Up: Thomas Reader
FW - Winner: Tim Green Runner Up: Reggie Black
Of interest, only Brian Smith has beaten Thomas Reader this year and Tim Green has not won any major zone in which either Reader or Smith has played, so though he has won 4 major zones, he would rightfully have to be place third behind Smith and Reader even though he has them on points. Just my opinion.

I would have to agree that Reader and Smith are strong favorites over me.
You are still a formidable player dinker. With 4 majors under your belt this year I don't think you be down graded to 4.5, and good luck the rest of the year.
Beaumont is looking for more open players in the Labor Day Tourney. If you win the men's open division you will get to play doubles with Marty Fish and Robby Generpi down here. If you go to the USTA Texas section you'll get more info on that.
Shamus Darden
Green will absolutely be 4.5 next year due both to his tanking and associations with Red Benzon.
Dude how can he go down to 4.5 when he has already won 4 majors in 5.0s
His ass is staying in 5.0s next year, no offense to you dinker.
On this Blog if you don't Win every Major you enter you are either Tanking or just suck. Dinker needs to win more than 4 majors to get some respect on this Blog.
Respect or no respect the fact of the matter is that dinker has won 4major zones this year.
Yeah, but who did Green beat that was worth a shit besides Gound? He lost badly to Alfonso who is STILL rated a 4.5 so where do you draw the line? The Fort Worth Minor zone was a good example of what a complete joke the 5.0s can really be.
lol, The Fort Worth Minor Zone...
O.K who the hell is the Chip from Cali dude?I mean seriously,if you are for real,I definitely want in on this!I've seen Reader play, and although he has gained some weight, and probably smokes a pound of grass a day, along with a pack of marlboros a day,he could still beat this Chip guy 6-0 6-0.I'll bet this Chip guy doesn't excist though, sounds like another spineless douchebag ragging on Reader.
By the way if you douchebags are wondering what #8 means...Well there used to be 7 wonders of the universe, now there's......
Excuse me #8, or should I say Mr. Reader is in the house. Welcome back the eigth wonder of the world.
Hey #8, I think Michael Phelps has got you beaten with 8 gold medals as the 8th wonder of the world dude.
Dude if that is you Reader, that is some funny shit!I have to give you a 10 on originality too!Does #8 means Lord of the Strings is back?
Welcome back #8 aka lord of the strings aka thomas reader.
